FAQ

Questions about International car shipping

Can personal items be left inside the car?

No. Port regulations and shipping lines prohibit carrying personal belongings inside the vehicle, and doing so can delay the shipment, incur a fine or lead to refused loading. We ship your belongings separately as part of our sea freight service.

Do you ship a car that doesn't run?

Yes, by container only, because RoRo requires the car to be driven onto the vessel. Tell us the car's condition in advance so we recommend the right method.

How much fuel should be in the tank?

The tank should ideally be at a quarter or less. A full tank is refused by most shipping lines for safety reasons.

What if the car is damaged during shipping?

We document the car's condition with photos before loading and offer optional insurance coverage. If damage occurs, the documentation is compared with the delivery condition and the claims procedure set out in the contract is followed.
